looks
As most would comment, if they knew his mother, he is almost the spitting image of her. Weiyang is quite attractive, though compared to some he is not as attractive, he makes up for it with his personality. Recently, Weiyang has taken on a more experimental and carefree phase which takes on one of the forms of dying his hair multiple colours. Sure, he's no attention seeker but he likes to look just that little bit extra and unique compared to everyone else, probably making it his most defining feature.
There's no doubt that Weiyang does have a bit of a resting bitch face, unconsciously holding a judgmental face in his quiet times. Not only that, but he holds himself confidently which somehow manages to pull off a slightly intimidating aura. He also possesses thick eyebrows and very dark eyes, though his gaze appears to be stern or just a little cold sometimes. His overall facial structure doesn't have many distinctive attributes, not very visible cheek bones but a clear jawline and somewhat of a slim face, yet one can notice that he has very clear skin.
Being a hybrid of an elf and a harpy, Weiyang has adopted more of his mother's side of being an elf. Standing on the taller side of around 1.76m, he appears to be naturally slim yet not lanky in stature. However, Weiyang has inherited a slightly weaker bone structure which makes him quite light in weight. Thanks to this, he is able to be more agile and quicker in his movements, in his case dancing. Despite weaker bones, he has managed to build some muscle due to the dancing and just to look a bit healthier in appearance. Around both sides of his back you would find that he has very dark blue feathers lining from the waist and gradually fading to his shoulder blades.
Finally, Weiyang can be found wearing clothes that lean more to the expensive side. As the magistrate's son, he's decided to make use of his advantage when it comes to money and prefers to go for clothes with a nicer look to them compared to practicality. Usually unafraid to wear what he likes, as long as it looks presentable then he'll wear it.

charms
Managing to take on life with ease, Weiyang deals with the world's problems one at a time and presents little interest in solving an issue until it actually affects him or he's really thought about it. This has led others to describe him as carefree about the wrong things and you can either consider that a good trait or a negative one, sometimes seeing it as a little cold while other times it makes things seem less bad than they actually are. Yet, he does dedicate himself to competing with others on grounds he's familiar with. Though being competitive shows enthusiasm, in his case it's considered petty. Coming from a family who most seem to be doing well in life, Weiyang can get envious of people who may boast about their own achievements but he's not always quick to distinguish that so instead he tends to try and succeed over that in his own way.
On a first introduction, people find Weiyang to be confident and look as if he's got everything figured out, yes the confidence is true but the second part, not so much. On the inside, he's just trying to live for himself and live the way he wants to along the act of improvisation which has given him a slightly rebellious nature. Lacking in a solid trustworthiness towards others, he has been known to be two-faced as well as not really a good listener to what others ask of him. It comes off as rude or selfish sometimes but he is accustomed to looking for benefits for himself before others.
However, this all doesn't mean Weiyang is downright unreachable by others. He's not completely untrustworthy, having found himself being loyal to people he really does care about. Though not family orientated, he does appreciate the company of his family members quite a bit. Weiyang has gone through plenty of friends and a rollercoaster of relationships, so over time he's grown to be relaxed in social situations and conversation. Over time he's grasped the idea of the arts fairly well, the strongest one of his being dance, and it's made him quick-witted to understand meanings behind certain things.
Due to him looking up to his mother quite a bit because of her personality and style, he has taken on some similar attributes. Weiyang has been in multiple relationships of all kinds, slept with many others and recently got into just hanging around people he may not have known that long. All this is likely the cause of him having a short attention span and a need to have a thrill in life. Sadly though, it's made him less independent and relies on people more than himself, even getting to the point of using people in rare cases.

past
Despite being the result of an elf and a harpy getting together, there wasn't much of a noticeable difference between other elves and Weiyang growing up. He managed to fit in quite well it seemed, beside the fact he wasn't able to join in on the magic games and impress others with those skills, so instead he found out quite early he had to find another way to stand out. During his time of education, he wasn't shy and he wasn't loud but rather just content on things and others around him. Weiyang grew up around mainly elves, though one brother a hybrid which made Weiyang feel just as normal as everyone else. One could say he was a bit of a brat, taking on the knowledge that he's a magistrate's son thus adapting to it well. At first, he wasn't much of a social butterfly but gradually throughout years he started to crave a bit more attention to make up for the fact he couldn't do magic. So, Weiyang began to join friend groups who you could consider somewhat popular.
It was starting to become apparent that Weiyang grew obsessed to status quite easily, often trying to portray a uniqueness and carefree side to himself as a shield for others to see first. There were times he was called selfish for being rude to others unnecessarily and he would try to correct himself about it after an apology, yet he couldn't help to drift away from being so kind-hearted and sweet like everyone else. Not when he felt like he could just do his own thing without consequences.
Around this time, he started to get into dance, having found himself in a place well know for its arts, Weiyang did seem to find an ease into dance. He found himself to become a fast learner and used this way to also impress others as he found it much more natural in the arts of dance. Aside from that, Weiyang began to gain more attention than he anticipated from all kinds of people from his school. Here and there, he lost and gained friends, betraying some while others he kept close because they either shared a similar status or they genuinely were his friends.
By now, he had finished school and was near the point where he was much more free with what he could do in his life. And he had absolutely no clue. Yes, Weiyang was an adaptable person, but he was still suited to being around others to help mould his personality a bit better. So right now, he was stuck with what to do in life. His brothers had their eyes set on their own things, while Weiyang felt he couldn't do much with his own talents. While continuing dance, Weiyang began to experiment more with the outside world. He met a lot of people, one being his first real lover and not just some high school crush that lasted a month. Then again, that 'real' lover didn't stick around either.
His personality became bolder, much more free spirited and he had found himself to have slept with numerable amounts of people. Though at this point, he'd made an agreement with himself to just see where life takes him without a set motive. Seeing that Weiyang struggled to keep himself on one path for too long after he got bored, moving onto something else to keep him entertained. There was a point however, where he felt a bit more useful and productive by taking part in shows that involved dancing. It started off with him committing himself to being a backup dancer, then some parts where he actually got a few solos. It was something he could say that he was proud of, something to boast about at times too.
Although, since then he'd dropped out of the job and resorted to just living off his parents. There were a few cases where he'd shortly live off of the next partner or whatever after the other, but not one really stuck. He did however, sought to go back to just dancing for himself and practicing when he can, finding it a way for him to space out without others being there.
