looks
Being a 100-year old spy certainly has its perks, no? For one, throughout the years Rin has become a master of disguise, her many identities bearing their own distinguishing marks, but there is never truly one thing that they have in common. Consequently, there's nothing unique about the real Rin--there's nothing special about her that would make you say "Ah, that's her!". You will only be recognizing one of her many identities--unless you are close enough of an acquaintance, of course, in by which point you can try. This is how Rin came to call herself "Nobody", a nickname that she has grown quite fond of over the years--she has pretended to be someone else for so long that she doesn't really remember what she originally looked like.
Currently, the one disguise she uses the most is Kimiko--or Kim--who is a bartender in the House of Comforts. As Kim, she dresses in a fitting, longsleeved mandarin jacket accompanied by leggings and boots--all for ease of movement, especially considering the establishment would sometimes get jam-packed with customers. She likes to associate her Kim persona with the colors red and yellow, dressing in clothes like so. Almost always, Kim's dark hair is tied up in a prim, clean bun, and she holds herself with a charming, comely air, always wearing a smile on her face.
When allowed to show her true colors, however, her truest colors, Rin would most likely prefer to wear black, blue or white. She's still going to be fond of long sleeves and leggings and boots--frankly this is one of the reasons she favors being Kim the most out of her disguises. Her dark hair will be let down, revealing wavy curves, and the smile on her face will be gone; replaced by a stone-cold, calculating expression that would deem her intimidating to most people. It's like she bears no emotions at all, and what's worse about it is that you can't seem to read her, but her stare makes you feel that she sees all of you right at that second.
And then, right at that moment, you might understand why she's called Nobody.

charms
To the people in the House of Comforts--and Sumi, by extension--Rin is the cheeky bartender named Kim. Come inside, sit by the counter, she'll already have a drink served up for you and chances are, it's just the drink you need. Her wit and charm always make for a compelling day at the bar, and you'll find that there is never a dull moment when she's around. As co-manager of the reputable establishment, Rin is well-versed when it comes to handling people in different situations--she's accustomed to defusing fights, solving complaints, helping the staff and many various jack-of-all-tradery. But most importantly, she is your shoulder to cry on from behind the counter, the one person you can confide your problems in who will also offer you helpful advice if she can.
Outside of working, Kim is one big social butterfly who'll go where the crowd goes and make friends with just about everyone. She likes to jump in on every opportunity, not quite seeing the risks of it but instead the rewards (a trait she shares with her real persona). One might say she's a little bit reckless and a little bit of a troublemaker that sometimes it can be a miracle if she even gets out of trouble. It's just that Kim loves the thrill that adventure gives her (albeit the real Rin wouldn't admit this).
However, you'd be surprised to find out that it's all just an act. If you even manage to find out at all, without her admitting it.
Rin, in reality, is so much colder. Her words are usually sprinkled with sarcasm and bluntness, careful and calculating and collected. One might even agree that yes, she does feel like a Nobody--Rin acknowledges this herself, a feeling of emptiness always pressing to her chest and a realization that despite being many people at once, she herself was nothing. The real Rin is a calculative, passionate woman, always seeing an opportunity in everything and making sure those opportunities were never wasted. She is what one might call a "chessmaster" as well, never afraid to make a move as long as she knows she and the people involved will get the upper hand in the end.
Subterfuge and deception are two of Rin's best points. As a longtime spy, she is very well-versed in the art of information-gathering. She prides herself for knowing "at least one thing" about every person in the locale, even those she's never actually met in person. Rin thrives in the gossips and rumors passed around by the bar's customers, although she doesn't believe in them until she herself can find some proof of its legitimacy. Sometimes, she goes out of her way to know if something is truth or telltale, just for the sake of gathering genuine information.
The various identities she's pretended to be all over the years are a testament to Rin's excellent acting skills, and unless you have a close enough relation to her you wouldn't really manage to identify her. She has long accepted that she is a nobody and instead takes pride in her versatility and various personas. Heck, even "Rin Igarashi" wasn't her first name--it was the name given to her by the thieves who raised her, her original name having been lost when her biological parents were murdered.
One notable thing about Rin is her firm loyalty to the House of Comforts. She views the establishment as her home and has watched it grow from a humble tavern to the biggest pleasure house in Hanami--as well as an information hub, to which she was involved in the transition. She will go to any lengths to protect both the establishment and the purposes the House has provided for Hanami.
Consequently, she might trust employees of the House of Comforts more than any other person, although this still doesn't melt the ice walls surrounding her. Due to her job and experiences in life, Rin has found it very hard to establish personal ties, sometimes finding it very ironic that some of her identities are big social butterflies (including Kim). She finds new ties to be meaningless--although deep down she's just afraid of the pain of losing her friends all over again. The only friends she still has are ones she's met more than 100 years ago, and are still alive because they either have long lifespans or were resurrected as drifters. Either way, she's stopped making bonds long ago and whatever ties she has now are simply professional or required for her personas.
Deep down inside, however, past the cold exterior and the walls surrounding her, Rin feels immensely lonely and empty. Many times have people almost, almost managed to light up the spark that once genuinely brightened her eyes, to no avail. Empty, because she was Nobody and had no true identity, and lonely, because her lifespan and her job have time and time again made her lose anyone she cared about.
But maybe, maybe one day that'll change.

past
Rin's parents were two elf merchants, one of the richest really, who took a quick trip towards Tuya one day and got themselves murdered by a band of thieves. While scavenging the dead couple's wagon, the thieves stumbled upon something unexpected: a ten-month old baby, whom the thieves decided to take in as their own.
Growing up, however, Rin was told that she was found in a ditch by Tuya. She never knew what really happened to her biological parents and never bothered to ask, because why would you care about people who abandoned you for dead in a ditch? Besides, she loved and was loved by the people who adopted her, the Igarashis. She was content, despite their criminal life, and learned a lot from her family in terms of street smarts and how to charm her way out of a disaster.
Living in Southern Tuya wasn't an easy thing--everyone was shady, no one was to be trusted and conflict was constant. It was during these hard times that Rin found a friend in the form of Ileara Kazah, a fellow elf. They helped each other out--or more like Ileara taught Rin a lot of things, a lot of tricks, but eventually they had to part ways as Ileara set out for Sumi, and Rin, now 23-years old, had to stay in Tuya for her family.
Things didn't last, however.
One day in a sudden argument with her parents, a slip-up caused her mother to reveal what really happened that day--when they murdered Rin's parents and took her in. Devastated, Rin ran away--away from her family, away from Tuya, away from the life that she had always known. She had nothing on her person but her clothes and cloak when she left, and so she had to make do with what she had as she journeyed towards Sumi, the closest city she knew of.
It wasn't an easy journey. It wasn't even a short journey. Rin had used disguises before, but she'd never been as pushed to her limits as she was during the journey--pretending to be nobles, guards, heck, she pretended to be other races and barely survived. At the age of 31, it was a full miracle that she even got to Sumi, where another set of challenges presented itself--she needed to find a decent job. Some place to sleep, food to eat. She needed to start anew.
It was then that she discovered the House of Comforts, a humble tavern that was badly in need of staff. Coming in, Rin was met with a familiar face--Ileara, who had established the tavern following the rise of new opportunities. The 74-year old woman was happy to offer an old friend a job, and not long after Rin became the newly-appointed bartender of the House of Comforts.
Things went by smoothly afterwards. The empire grew, and the tavern grew with it. The House of Comforts became a hub of sorts, where diverse characters got together for a drink, where weary travelers settled down for the night and told stories of their adventures. In the course of 50 years, Rin learned a lot. Ileara had taught her the finer parts of business, as well as many other things, and Rin always accumulated knowledge from her customers. Eventually, it gave the bartender an idea: a business through information-gathering.
It was an unexpectedly successful pitch, and soon enough the House of Comforts grew even more--now they were a hub of information that people could go to. Looking for answers? Take a chance at the House, they might have what you need. Currently, Rin is still the bartender of the House, but now she goes by the name "Kim", and is the manager of the House's "info hub" service.
