ESOH ISLAND ABOUT Esoh island, is the northernmost island in Sumi. Once a kingdom in its own right, it has long-since had an identity and culture of its own. The Shimizu family ruled as Kings and Queens for over 600 years and now govern the land as the magistrates of the largest county in Sumi. Due to it's remote location and harsh climate, there are few travelers who pass through- leaving the island relatively untouched by the expansion of the Empire and a proudly one of the centres for Sumuri culture and tradition. LOCATION Esoh is the Northernmost island of the Sumuri province. It is a largely mountainous region with a much colder climate in comparison to the central and southern isles. Due to the volcanic activity in the area, there are many hot springs within the region, around which many merfolk settlements have been built. OTHER

SHIMIZU KATSUMI GRANDMA SHIMIZU FC. KIM HAE-SOOK ♔ RACE. MERFOLK ♔ AGE. 119 ♔ SEXUALITY. OPEN ♔ KAZUYA is the magistrate of Esoh, having being selected by Emperor Yesun after he studied at the Imperial Academy of Tuya. He was originally promised to Oshima Izumi but after she and Yuta fell in love, he was promised to another of the North. He has the empire's best poker face and a great mind for politics and tact. |
SHIMIZU YUKI THE BUSINESSMAN FC. YAMAZAKI KENTO♔ RACE. MERFOLK ♔ AGE. 74 ♔ SEXUALITY. OPEN ♔ YUKI attended the Imperial Academy of Sumi but refused a postion as magistrate in Chanda, preferring to stay close to his family than claim a ranked position. He has since taken over businesses in hot springs and mineral products, making a name for Esoh all over the Empire. He is well-liked and has a wide circle of friends, but again he is completely loyal to his family and would give up everything to protect them from harm. |
SHIMIZU AKIKO MERFOLK FIGHTER FC. MAKI HORIKITA ♔ RACE. MERFOLK ♔ AGE. 74 ♔ SEXUALITY. OPEN ♔ AKIKO was always the strongest and physically fittest of all Katsumi's children. She joined the Imperial Army and served for 30 years before returning back to her home and acting as the head of the household guard. She is not to be messed with, but usually she is a fun and energetic to be around (if not a little vulgar and crass despite her sweet appearance). She gets quite protective and caring towards her subordinates and those younger than her, taking the "cool mom" role in any group. |
SHIMIZU AYAME MISTRESS OF THE TEA SHOP FC. ISHIHARU SATOMI ♔ RACE. MERFOLK ♔ AGE. 70 ♔ SEXUALITY. OPEN ♔ AYAME struggled with scale rot as a child and has never since been able to fully recover. Her tail had limited mobility before she was unable to move it at all. She can still get around using her arms and by hitching rides but she doesn't travel far. As a child, she suffered a lot of self-doubt, being unable to do so many things. But even with a high-achieving family, she managed to find her place- even if it was something more humble than her siblings. She now single-handed runs Esoh's largest and most profitable tea house. She is closest to YUKI, who has always striven to make sure she was never left out. |
OSHIMA YUTA THE SUMURI LORD FC. JIN AKANISHI ♔ RACE. MERFOLK ♔ AGE. 73 ♔ SEXUALITY. OPEN ♔ YUTA was originally intending to become a world explorer and travel everywhere- he had no concern for politics or fighting. But he changed his mind after he met and fell in love with Oshima Izumi. The two married and Yuta worked hard to catch up on all the lessons he had slept through as a child and be the best husband possible to his wife. However, after they lost their son and Izumi fell into despair, he has worked hard to try and keep everyone calm and hings in order whilst hiding his own pain at the loss of his child. |
