looks
Tilo is a modern but still traditional woman, and so loves wearing colourful sari’s and jewellery(when called for). Her beautiful light caramel brown coloured skin is complimented by any colour she wears. Her face is more on the smooth and soft side, but her sharp features come in from her jaw line to her slightly squared chin, the corners of her full and plump lips, and her brow bone. Her olive green eyes are stunning knock outs, wrapped with thick black lashes and delicately arched brows; as told by others her eyes are her best feature. She has a slim build(as with most other harpies, at least her age) yet isn’t afraid to eat. A high metabolism keeps her slim, but not enough and so has slight extra on her hips(no one really sees that with her clothes on). Plump, mid-sized breasts fill out her figure. Lushes, wavy dark brown hair falls past her shoulder blades, but keeps it French braided most of the time(especially for work). Her legs go from human to bird just under the knee in a pale yellow with pit-black talons. Super soft feathery fur runs up from her knees to mid-thigh and curves away from the inner thigh to cover her sides and butt cheeks, and continues curving up her back in two lines to stop just about the middle of her waist in beautiful shades of orange. And finally, the famed wings of her family. Long back on her mother’s side of the family, they were famed for having amazingly beautiful coloured wings, and Tilo was not left out. Tilo’s wings fan out from her wrists to just under her armpits, with about three blending onto her wrist and then a few more blending up shoulder blades just beneath the top of her shoulders. Unfurled, her wings were the colour of fire. Light/pale orange, nearly yellow, starts on the tops of her arms and blends down in brilliant oranges, and then the bottom tipped with light emerald green feathers.
charms
Tilo is one of the sweetest, nisest woman you would ever meet. She does come off as shy, but it’s more of her quiet, non-confrontational nature. As a friend she will be very loyal to you and help where she can. Though she mourns her parents, and still wonders/questions why they were killed, she doesn’t believe in dwelling on sadness, which is what her parents(and then her nani) instilled upon her. Tilo’s parents taught her to be confident in herself, which lends to her job as shopkeeper. She is professant and excels at her knowledge and skills with herbs and spices, having learned alongside her parents. She never shy’s away from a customer when they come in and takes all the time to help those who need it, even recommending things they may not be thinking of. She actually made her friends from returning customers, thrilling to her that her recommendations worked so well. Overall, she is a very loving woman to her friends and family. Always there for them with a cup of tea. And last, she is a big romantic at heart. She loves love, and it makes her heart soar when happy couples come into her shop. She came into this mid-range of her life, introduced to her through her nani. Since, and still, reading romantic stories, she believes in finding “her one”, even if she needs to go through fishes to finding her love.
Now what most people don’t see, as she believes them private/family only matters, is that she can be very insecure, nervous, and browbeaten. Most of these feelings have been brought about by her fathers’ parents. She is intimidated by them, uncomfortable under their critical, disapproving stare. She has felt this way from them her entire life. And from them, in regards to her personally, she becomes insecure about herself. It takes a small amount of convincing though to get her to do something for herself by friends and her nani. She has a natural nervousness around men, only because she hopes of finding the right man. And even though she’s confident in her work, she’s not that much in ways of asking one out and sometimes can’t always keep eye contact. A lot of Tilo’s underlying negative aspects about herself can always be stemmed back to her grandparents on her fathers side. Constantly outing her down, disapproving of her working, impressing that it is wrong to be so public about ones self.
Tilo doesn’t fear a whole much, and new things she takes one at a time and slowly. She does get a little frightened easily when others get angry/scary. Her one fear is dying. It’s not that she was oblivious to death and that you die. But she is terrified of unexpected deaths, it intensified with her parents murder. She can talk about her parents, but if others bring up their death she would change the subject or just leave the room. The thought of their death causes a panic attack, causing her to become cold to others and turn inward. It also makes her very much dislike going on the open road to market day, and would go into meltdown mode if she is forced to go alone. Though still uncomfortable, she would rather hitch a ride with the other venders, preferring to travel in a larger group to market.
