Questions :
In a world where satyrs and centaurs and merfolk exist do their animal counterparts also exist in nature?
And how sperate are they from their animal counterparts if they do.
Do centaurs and satyrs ever get the urge to graze in a meadow, do they bleat or neigh when frightened or excited?
Do other people ride normal horses or centaurs and if so is it offensive to taurs when they see such happening?
Is it normal for people to drink and eat goat diary products and are satyr's concerned/disgusted when it happens?
Can the human parts of then consume any food that they want or do they have to stick to their animal parts diet?

Answers provided by Varda: 1) Birds, fish, horses and goats all exist 2) Quite separate. Think of the satyrs, etc. as being human with animalistic traits and not hybrids between animals and humans. They think like humans and have no advantage/disadvantage in mentally in comparison to a human. 3) They can make some sounds that are similar to their animal counter parts but they don't use it in speech. For example, harpies use some bird-like cries in their war cries and a satyr/centaur could make some noises others could not but it is not the same as communicating to horses/goats/birds/fish/etc. They're also not driven by many instincts, again they're more human than animal- it's mainly physical changes. 4) They ride horses as we would. If you ask a centaur nicely, they might let you ride them. Centaurs see themselves as very distinct from horses (as do the others) so may get offended if you treat them like a horse but will not be offended if you ride horses 5) Again, they see themselves as very different creatures and will drink dairy products if they wish~ 6) They'll be eating human food

I'd say mature a little older than humans but not much. Probably around 20? And once they are mature, they can breed! Though I think, rather like Hobbits, some of them take some time growing out of childish mentalities ♡♡
