looks
If we're being honest, there is very little about Yori which, under normal circumstances, would make him stand out from the crowd. He is about average height for a human (perhaps a little taller) and slim and lightly muscular with it; he has dark brown eyes (pretty but nothing to write home about) and shoulder-length black hair which he keeps tied up in a simple ponytail, he has strong features and a ..... not striking.
slim and lightly muscular and he carries himself with the grace of someone who is comfortable in their own body and
f you wanted to describe Yori in one word, it would probably be "neat". His hair, his clothes, his belongings, even the way he carries himself - everything about him is neat, orderly, and almost freakishly tidy. Even when he has no business being neat, when he's just woken up or spent a day travelling or done an hour's hard labour, when his hair is messy and his clothes are rumpled, he is still, inexplicably, the neatest person in the room... Some might call this a talent, other's might call it freaky, but whatever you want to call it, there is no deny that it is pretty impressive.
- Strong features (jaw and brow) offset by a surprisingly full and delicate mouth which lends him a softer feel than he might otherwise have.
As a disciple of Shi, Yori was taught from a young age to value simplicity and restraint above all else and this life lesson (which he still carries with him no matter where he goes) is often reflected in the clothes he chooses to wear. When left to his own devices (as he so often is now that he has left the temple), Yori will most frequently pick an inexpensive, functional robe (one suitable for both travel and mental toil) made of black or dark blue cloth and with as little decoration as possible (if any at all). Over this simple garb, he normally wears black leather vambraces (purely ceremonial), a sword belt, and a sword (again, purely ceremonial) and, should it be cold or raining, a plain black cloak might also be added to the mix. Depending on wether it is a festival or a particular religious ceremony, however, Yori can occasionally be induced into wearing some colour or even some ornaments should the,
- Often looks solemn and broody when left to his own devices.
- Rarely smiles but when it does it lights up his whole face.

past
- Grew up in a loving family but was dedicated to the priests of shi from a young age (5) and, as such, has very few memories of his parents or his siblings.
- Grew up amongst the priests and amongst the trainees,
- He was a quiet child and friendships between were, although not actively discouraged, frowned upon (they were supposed to cut ties with the material world and this includes deep and binding relationship with others) but there still were a number of boys and girls he became close with (particularly one young boy with whom he later parted ways)
- Was content, if not happy growing up and quickly immersed himself in studies.
- From a young age he came into contact with the dead and the dying and as a result he does not fear the death. Instead, he sees it as a natural part of life and as something to be treated with respect.
- Moved to Niji Island when he was 13 and has long since thought of it as home.
- He worked with a specific priest for a long time and grew close to him and the servants in the temple he lived in (although he tries to hide it)
- He finally left the temple when he was 20, in order to learn more about the world he lives in. He currently travels from temple to temple, offering help to those in need, but he intends to return to Niji at some point.

family
01. HAMASAKI Daichi || 48 || father || Yori remembers his father as being strong, principled, and outspoken. He is a man with a strong sense of wrong and right and who will always stand up for what he believes.
02. HAMASAKI Hiroko || 51 || mother || Yori's memories of his mother are warm and comforting and he still fondly remembers her soft voice and beautiful singing... He also remembers how scary she could be when angry.
03. HAMASAKI Kouta || 29 || older brother || Bright and bubbly, Kouta was a good older brother, from what Yori can remember. Although he was frequently busy, he always tried to make time for his younger siblings and he often brought them back treats whenever he went out to market (an act which firmly cemented him in his little brothers' hearts).
04. HAMASAKI Minoru || 27 || older brother || Quieter and more studious than Kouta, Minoru was Yori's favourite brother and the two spent most of their time together. They were devastated when they were separated and, out of all his brothers, Minoru is the one Yori still thinks about the most.
05. HAMASAKI Isamu || 24 || older brother || Even though he was only 3 years older, Isamu spent most of his time looking after his two younger brothers whilst Yori still in the family. He bore a strong resemblance to his mother when he was a child and Yori is sure he has grown up to be even more like her.
06. HAMASAKI Hikaru || 22 || older brother || Only one year apart, Yori and Hikaru were often at each other's throats when they were children, mainly because they were so different to one another. Despite their near-constant fights, however, Yori knows they loved each other deeply and he sometimes wonders how their relationship would change now that they're older
07. PARK Yeong Ho || 25 || childhood best friend || rec fc. Park Bo Gum || Lively, lighthearted, and confident beyond his years, Yeong Ho was the first child to befriend Yori when he arrived at the temple of Shi. The two quickly became firm friends despite their differing personalities and, over the years, they formed a deep and intense emotional bond with one another. They lost contact after Yori left for Niji and, in times of weakness, Yori still longs to see his friend again.
08. PARK Yeong Hui || 25 || childhood friend || Yeong Ho's twin sister, Yeong Hui was one of Yori's closest childhood friends (excluding her brother). Strong-willed and opinionated, Yori found her intimidating at first but soon found himself enjoying her company even if she still unsettled him at times. Around the time he was setting out for Niji, Yeong Hui's future as a disciple was uncertain, her out-spoken ways often clashing with the beliefs of the older priests and priestesses.
09. ABE Megumi || 23 || childhood friend || Quiet and sweet-natured, Megumi was another child at the temple who showed great promise from a young age. She and Yori spent a lot of time together, studying and training, and formed a shy and tender friendship through which both of them found great solace. They are still in contact through a mutual aquaintance and will occasionally exchange letters and counsel.
